Partnership with Michael Herter, para-triathlete with an invisible disability.

Cryostar is committed to a voluntary handi-accommodating approach. We are proud to support Michael Herter, a para-triathlete from Alsace with an invisible disability. He has been crowned French champion several times and his ambition is to be on the podium at the Olympics Paris 2024. We will accompany him throughout this journey and wish him great sporting and human success!

The partnership agreement was officially signed on 29 June 2021 during our half-yearly information meeting. Cryostar, sponsor for the sports and competitions, also expects a lot from this partnership to contribute to changing the collective view of disability and thus to favour the inclusion of people with visible and invisible disabilities. We are convinced that people with disabilities within our teams enrich our human capital!

Michael: “I am happy and proud to have Cryostar as a partner. More than a financial support to my Paris 2024 project, the company and its manager Samuel Zouaghi share common values.  My motto: disability and difference are a strength! I have been practising para triathlon since 2016. Following an operation for a 20 cm tumour in my spinal cord, I found myself in a wheelchair. Today I am on my feet thanks to sport and the desire to go beyond my limits! It was when I discovered on Facebook the partnership between Cryostar and the CRM that I had the idea to contact Cryostar to propose a partnership. Cryostar is my first official corporate sponsor.

As a reminder, as part of its disability policy, Cryostar had already concluded a partnership with the Mulhouse Rehabilitation Centre (CRM) in 2020. Other actions are currently being deployed, supported in particular by our Disability Advisor Virginie Fillinger, who is strongly and passionately involved in the approach. The disability awareness workshops are continuing and will be completed in September-October 2021. We will keep you informed.

In the meantime, we wish Michael the best of luck and count on the whole “Team Cryostar” to support him!
